Xiphos, an Epiq Solutions company, has signed a value-added reseller agreement with Expando AB to broaden access to Xiphos embedded computing solutions across the Nordic defense, space, and aerospace markets.
The agreement was signed at AOC Europe 2026 in Helsinki, Finland, by John Orlando, CEO of Epiq Solutions and Xiphos, and Otto Johnsson, Board Member and Co-Founder of Expando.
Expando is a provider of rugged computing and advanced electronics for defense and space applications, founded in Sweden in 2000. The company supports customers operating in demanding environments where high reliability, edge processing, and ruggedized electronics are critical. Expando is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and is a registered JOSCAR supplier.
For Xiphos, the agreement creates a stronger local path to customers in the Nordic region who need compact, reliable, mission-ready processing for space and defense platforms. Xiphos has delivered embedded processing solutions for more than 25 years, with heritage across more than 80 space missions and constellations.
“Expando understands the mission demands, procurement environments, and technical expectations of Nordic defense and space customers,” said John Orlando, CEO of Epiq Solutions and Xiphos. “This agreement gives those customers a local partner for Xiphos processing technology while helping us support programs earlier in the design cycle.”
The partnership aligns with Xiphos’ focus on high-performance embedded computing for mission-critical applications. Since joining Epiq Solutions, Xiphos has become part of a broader portfolio of small-form-factor sensing, processing, and communications solutions for ground, air, maritime, and space applications.
“Xiphos adds space-proven processing capability to our embedded computing portfolio,” said Otto Johnsson. “This gives Nordic customers local access to compact, flight-heritage platforms for missions where size, power, reliability, and mission assurance are critical.”
AOC Europe 2026 brought together defense, government, industry, and academic stakeholders focused on electromagnetic warfare, spectrum operations, and related technologies. The 2026 event was held May 19–21 in Helsinki and emphasized European and Nordic defense requirements in increasingly contested electromagnetic environments.
Through this agreement, Xiphos and Expando will work together to support customers requiring rugged, low-SWaP, high-reliability processing solutions for space and defense missions.
